At the outset, our social workers meet the women of the neighbourhood, explain to them about Gyaan Ruchi, and on their acceptance, we begin our programme.
We initiate the programme by ‘The Travelling Trunk’ library, which is a collection of books in vernacular language. Via workshops, we introduce in the
women, the habits of reading, storytelling and expression.
With frequent interaction, we build rapport and introduce our modules on self awareness, health & hygiene, art & literature, leadership skills, motivation
and skill upgradation, etc.
We believe women empowerment is not only about providing opportunity. It’s also about developing skills, building self-confidence and helping them realise their
dreams.
Over a period of 3 years, we hope to bring about a complete change in the women. They should be able to think independently, take decisions for themselves and create aspirations for their family.
